Caetani Centre
The Caetani Centre is one of British Columbia’s most intriguing historical sites and a unique attraction in the arts community here in Vernon. Vernon Community Arts Centre
The Vernon Community Arts Centre is a vibrant hub where individuals can create, connect, and explore through arts education for all ages and skill levels. With a variety of artistic mediums available—such as pottery, printmaking, painting, and glass arts—there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The Centre’s Art Shop and Centre Gallery features local artists' work, inviting visitors to browse and shop. Throughout the year, the Centre also hosts numerous exhibits and events, including the popular winter artisan market, Artsolutely.
Mackie Lake House
Take a tour of this beautifully preserved property in a stunning location next to Kalamalka Lake. Built in 1910, the Mackie Family resided in the house from 1946 to 1999. Learn about the early history in Coldstream and enjoy a tea and treat in the veranda following your tour. Visit their website for available tours, teas and events.
Kalamalka Indigenous Garden
Welcome to K’nmalka? Senqalten – the Kalamalka Indigenous Garden. Nestled by the stunning Kalamalka Lake, the garden highlights traditional syilx plants, medicines, foods, C’aptikwl, and ceremonies through inclusive community tours and experiential learning. Visitors will gain insights into the Syilx Okanagan people's deep connection to the land and discover the significance of Indigenous plants in syilx traditions. Tours are available to book in spring and summer.
Museum and Archives of Vernon
The Museum and Archives of Vernon is dedicated to fostering community connections through engaging experiences that celebrate Greater Vernon’s authentic and diverse history. By collecting, preserving, exhibiting, and interpreting local artifacts, the museum enriches the cultural landscape of the community. Visit the museum during their open hours on Wednesday from 1pm to 4pm, and Thursday to Saturday from 11am to 4pm.
Vernon Jazz Club
The Vernon Jazz Club is one of only three dedicated live jazz music venues in British Columbia. Each year, they host around 20 live music events, taking place every other Saturday from September to June. Caravan Farm Theatre
Caravan Farm Theatre is a professional outdoor theatre company located on an eighty-acre farm in the North Okanagan. Each year, Caravan hosts a diverse lineup of seasonal shows, including a winter sleigh ride performance, a summer show, and exciting spooky events in October.
Gallery Vertigo
Gallery Vertigo is an artist-run centre and community gallery in downtown Vernon, serving as the home of the North Okanagan Artists Alternative. We invite you to visit their gallery space and meet the studio artists, as conversation is at the heart of their mission. The gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10:30am to 4:30pm.
