It’s an angler’s paradise around here. The three lakes that surround our beautiful town hold healthy populations of trout, char, bass, crappie, kokanee, walleye, perch and more.
Okanagan Lake, Kalamalka Lake and Swan Lake are just the beginning of the fishing opportunities around Vernon.
There are more than 100 lakes within an hour’s drive of town, and numerous streams in between. In the Okanagan, it's always a good day to drop a line in.

Echo Lake Resort
Echo Lake Resort offers cabins to rent or camp sites. There are boat rentals available here on Echo Lake where you'll catch Rainbow and Gerrard Rainbow trout. This spring-fed lake is also a spawning ground for Kokanee and Lake Trout.

A lodge with camping, glamping, and cabin sites located on the 800-acre volcanic Oyama Lake, this lodge has a little something for everyone. You can rent all styles of boats and fishing gear from the lodge and will have plenty of opportunities to catch trout in this generously stocked lake.

Beaver Lake Mountain Resort has equipment rentals and guides to make your fishing vacation memorable. You can rent an aluminum fishing boat, a belly boat, or a pontoon boat for your day on the lake. Get up close and personal to loons and ducks in a kayak or canoe. Cabins and campgrounds are available, and they even have a wellness retreat to get out those kinks from fishing all day.
