Discover hundreds of kilometres of snowshoe trails in and near Vernon. And keep an eye out for the locals – snowshoe hares, foxes and even elusive snowy owls are known to make appearances in our peaceful winter woods.

Predator Ridge
At Predator Ridge, you can enjoy 12km of tracked trails designated for snowshoers and offering a variety of terrain and levels of difficulty. Bring your own snowshoes or pick up a pair of rentals at the clubhouse. No fees, leashed dogs are welcome.
Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre
The Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre has a variety of snowshoe and cross-country skiing trails. You can bring your own snowshoes or rent from the center. Purchase of a day ticket is required. Dogs are not permitted on trails here.
SilverStar Mountain Resort
Enjoy the enchanted forests of SilverStar on foot. With 16km of singletrack trails weaving through the forest and joining with cross country trails, you can set out and explore all day. SilverStar does require purchase of a trail ticket. Leashed dogs are welcome.
Silver Star Provincial Park
Just 22km north of Vernon, this 5,573-hectare park offers scenic views of both the Okanagan Valley and Monashee Mountain Range. You are welcome to use the hiking trails for snowshoeing on your own accord in winter. If you prefer developed trails, you can head over to the Sovereign Lake Nordic Center portion of the park.
