Day 1
You and your pup are going to love Vernon. Kick off your first day with an adventure of water, sand, and probably drool. Swing over to one of our beloved dog beaches. We recommend stops at the Dog Beach at Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park and Sandy Beach at Ellison Provincial Park.
Next, cruise over to fuel up with lunch at Midtown Bistro, their patio is dog-friendly, so you and your furry bestie can dine along Main Street and enjoy the happy goings on about town.
Then you can make another dog-friendly stop for bevvies at Okanagan Spirits Craft Distillery. They welcome friendly, leashed pups to join you while you enjoy a whiskey/gin tasting experience.
Finally, round out your first day with beautiful sunset views from the Grey Canal Trail section at Boss Creek and Coldstream Valley Estates.
Day 2
Start day two with a visit to Bean to Cup and kick the morning off right with coffee and pastry on their dog-friendly patio.
Then head out to explore another great Dog Park at BX Ranch. The creek there is a perfect area for dogs to go for a dip and cool off after running free at this off-leash dog park.
Finish out your day at one of Vernon’s favorite farm-to-table destinations — Davison Orchards. Your four-legged sidekick is welcome on-leash at the Farmhouse Cafe and while wandering around the playground and village.
Day 3
For day three, we will make sure you and your pup are fully worn out from all your adventuring.
Leash up and head to Predator Ridge Resort to hike on their vast trail system around the resort. And bonus, if you are visiting on a Sunday, you can bring your dog golfing in the afternoon.
Next, grab a late lunch at nearby Pallino's Italian Bistro and be sure to save room for dessert —their handmade gelato is unforgettable.
And for your last night, enjoy a sunset hike at Middleton Mountain. It’s the perfect way to cap off the day and watch (and listen!) for the bluebirds. Enjoy 360-degree views from the top.
