DAY 1: BALLOON GLOW (FEB 2)
Kick off the Vernon Winter Carnival in style with the Hot Air Balloon Glow at Polson Park, a must-see event that promises an evening of wonder and delight.
Starting things off at 4:30pm is the Kinshira Fire Show followed by the Balloon glow at 5pm! This breathtaking sight (dependent on weather and fuel) offers a unique spectacle for approximately 45 minutes, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere in the winter darkness.
SNOW SCULPTURE COMPETITION (FEB 2 - 4)
Head on up to Silver Star Mountain as the BC Snow Sculpture Competition kicks off at 10am Friday, February 2nd (through to Sunday, February 4th) and watch firsthand as artists from across BC craft masterpieces out of snow and ice!
DAY 2: 64TH ANNUAL PARADE (FEB 3)
Experience the excitement of the beloved 64th Annual Vernon Winter Carnival Parade on Saturday, February 3, 2023, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. The Parade features a Carnival GAMES theme this year and will be winding through the heart of Vernon. Bring your friends and family, enjoy the festive atmosphere, and vote for your favorite entry!
DAY 3: CELEBRATION OF TALENT (FEB 4)
Experience some incredible local talent at the Vernon Winter Carnival's "Celebration of Talent" on Sunday, February 4, 2023 from 1:00 pm - 3:00pm, hosted at the Schubert Centre. This event, free for all, is a wonderful opportunity to witness the diverse array of amateur performers from our community!
DAY 4: ELLA’S NAUGHTY DRAG BINGO (FEB 5)
This isn't your average bingo night; hosted at the Elks Hall, it's an evening filled with laughter, sass, and prizes! This 19+ event hosted by the fabulous Ella Lamoureux promises a unique blend of entertainment and community spirit!
Plus, it's all for a great cause, with proceeds supporting the Vernon Pride Society.
DAY 5: HERITAGE HOUSE TOUR, TEA AND CHOCOLATE FONDUE (FEB 6)
Indulge in a delightful afternoon at the Mackie Lake House filled with history, tea, and a chocolate fondue as you explore the charm of a heritage house.

DAY 6: TOTAL FUN BED RACES (FEB 7)
Get ready for high-speed hilarity at the Total Fun Bed Races on February 7th, from 12-2pm at Kal Tire Place Lower Parking Lot! This unique and wildly entertaining event invites teams to engineer their own racing machines – starting from a bed! It's a perfect blend of creativity, teamwork, and friendly competition.
DAY 7: FIGURE SKATING ICE SHOW & COCA COLA CLASSIC PEEWEE HOCKEY TOURNAMENT (FEB 8)
Don't miss two exciting sports events in Vernon! First, cheer on the Vernon Figure Skating Club at the Figure Skating Ice Show at Kal Tire Arena. Then, get ready for the 51st Annual Coca-Cola Classic Peewee Hockey Tournament from February 8-11, 2024, at Kal Tire Place. Witness the future stars of hockey in one of Western Canada's premier tournaments.

DAY 8: FAMILY FUN PARK FIREWORKS NIGHT (FEB 9)
Get ready for an exhilarating day at the Family Fun Park on Friday, February 9, from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Kal Tire Place Parking Lot! Step through a giant igloo into a world of winter wonder, complete with hot chocolate, face painting, and an array of exciting games. As the sun sets, prepare to be mesmerized by a spectacular Fire Juggling show followed by dazzling fireworks! Entrance to the Family Fun Park is by donation.
DAY 9: POLAR BEAR SWIM (FEB 10)
Brave the chilly waters and experience the ultimate thrill at the Polar Bear Swim on Saturday, Feb 10! Registration kicks off at 12pm on the beach, with the big dip at 1pm. This event is not just about the adrenaline rush – it's for a great cause too! All proceeds go to support the children at Mission Hill Elementary.
