2 Days, 2 Wheels: Vernon Bike Tour
If you’re looking for a low impact way to explore the best of Vernon, here are our suggestions for a two-day cruise-around schedule by e-bike or e-scooter, for fuel-free, adventure-full exploration.
Day 1
Pick up a Neuron e-bike or e-scooter at one of the popular drop spots around town and start your adventure.
Hot Sips — ride to one of Vernon’s eclectic local coffee and tea shops. Some local favourites include the secret patio behind Bean Scene and playing some board games at The Boarding House Café.
Check out the downtown historic murals as you make your way to the Vernon Community Arts Centre in Polson Park. Book a class in advance at the arts centre to learn something new or visit during one of their art sales where you can buy locally made art.
Cruise over to the Polson Artisan Night Market on Friday evenings May-September or check out all the other fun events going on throughout the year.
Day 2
Spend the day cruising the renowned Okanagan Rail Trail. Its 50km of smooth grade path, beautiful sites, and shoreline views are unbeatable. Stop in at The Rail Trail Café to fuel up before your ride with coffee and breakfast sandwich.
For an easy ride along the scenic trail, get an e-bike rental at Kalavida Surf Shop and set out for the full length of Kalamalka Lake to Pane Vino for lunch and a refreshing drink.
Give your legs a rest at the end of the day and grab dinner and a movie downtown at The Towne Theatre.
Where to stay
