Soak up the sun and views at 1516 Pub & Grill right on Okanagan Lake. Stop in for steamed mussels, Creole prawns, flatbread and some truly terrific main courses including classic fish and chips, ahi tuna bowls or steak.

As part of the BC Ale Trail, SilverStar Brewing Company offers flights, flagship on tap varieties, and seasonal selections. Hang out on their patio to enjoy some delicious eats and craft beer. Their patio is dog-friendly too so don't forget your furry best friend. Check out their new brunch menu from 9am - 2pm on Saturday and Sunday and pair it with caesar flight.

Open during golf season, the Outlook Cabin at Predator Ridge (on the Ridge Course) is perfectly placed to enjoy a mid-game snack and beverage while taking in the scenery. Accessible by walking path or golf cart only, the patio has views overlooking the dramatically landscaped Ridge Course, and Okanagan Lake. Outlook Cabin is open for the duration of the golf season and offers higher-end snacks, sandwiches, alcohol (including local wines), and baked goodies.

If coffee and a snack are more your scene, then Bean Scene's patio fits the bill. Choose from a range of caffeinated (or non) beverages and fresh-baked treats while enjoying the activity on downtown Vernon’s main street.

Located at Sparkling Hill Resort, take your tastebuds on a journey with traditional Austrian cuisine and architecture in an unforgettable location. The building is an original 16th-century building from Weerberg, Austria that was dismantled, shipped to Canada, and rebuilt on the resort.

A hidden gem, the intimate patio off the back of Sparkling Hill Resort is a small patio that sits high above Okanagan Lake and has breathtaking, panoramic lake, forest and mountain views. By far the BEST spot in the valley to enjoy a coffee, pastry or wine.

Grab a coffee, a sweet treat, or something savoury and enjoy the patio at Ratio Coffee and Restaurant - facing one of historic murals. Keep an eye on the day of the week, as each day features a different pastry, from cake to croissants and their renowned donut Fridays! Check out Ratio Juice Wall for evening dining on Wednesday – Saturday with themed menus, local drinks and more. 

A family favourite, Davison Orchards Country Village’s Farmhouse Café is great for the family. Parents come for a comfort food lunch with exceptional views of the orchards and city, and keep coming back because of the adorable, farm-themed playground within watching distance from the café. Pick up fresh, Okanagan fruit while you’re there, or pick your own from their surrounding orchard.

Centrally located in downtown Vernon, Sir Winston’s Pub is a local favourite, and its rooftop patio is a perfect place to relax. Enjoy the adult atmosphere while snacking on delicious appetizers, including cajun or garlic prawns, mini Yorkshire puddings, and chicken wings. Or, delve deeper into the menu for their signature burger, ribs and housemade pizza.

Another local favourite is the lakeside patio at Alexander’s Beach Pub located next to beautiful Kalamalka Lake. Watch the action on the lake and enjoy summer breezes while sampling the pub’s extensive food and drink menu. On weekends they offer brunch to savour on the patio.

There are so many terrific patios in and around Vernon that we can't name them all, but we thought we'd mention a few other highlights to visit.
