Welcome to the official Trails Capital of BC. There are several ways to explore the trails in and around Vernon. You can hike, bike, walk, snowshoe or ski over 400+ km of trails with varying accessibility for all abilities.  Bring the whole family and enjoy some outdoor fun as you get closer to nature.

Enjoy world-class cross-country skiing at Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre and SilverStar Mountain Resort with over 100kms of daily groomed trails.  Glide through snow-covered forests to rustic warming cabins and take in the spectacular scenery on the high elevation trails.

There are more than 50 trails to choose from in the greater Vernon area.

Okanagan Rail Trail

Explore the spectacular lakeside Okanagan Rail Trail as it hugs the shores of Kalamalka Lake. This multi-use path is perfect for all ages and stages. 

Mountain Biking 

Vernon has a unique variety of single track trails for all abilities of mountain bikers. From flowy blue trails to technical granite rock rolls, there is something for everyone in the group or family to enjoy. Paddle Trail

Kalamalka Lake, known as the lake of many colours, is a paddlers paradise.  Experience the tranquility and beauty of the turquoise lake along the 22 km marked paddle trail.  The trail starts either at Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park or Oyama. The paddle trail is must-do experience for stand-up paddleboarders and kayakers.
